    I apologize for my scarcity at lunches this past month. it has been rather difficult to pull away from the Ministry. However, I'm pleased to see that the charity gala has progressed so swimmingly. Do you still need help with anything pertaining to that, I would like to be a part if I may.

    Well, do let me know, and I will try to be less of a stranger to lunches.

    By now everyone should have seen the news about last night's attacks, and the announcement we're stepping up patrols.

    If you want the overtime, talk to scheduling for first priority.

    Make sure you use what time you have off the job well. If you're not well-rested, I have no problem sending you home. Don't make rookie mistakes.

    Reports have come in of inferi attacking Diagon Alley.

    B and Swing team are in office. Respond immediately. Everyone else report in.

    Remember that Inferi are vulnerable to fire, but that the Aurors have this. We are there for crowd control and to keep civilians out of the fray. Do not engage unless it is defensively.

    Due to unforeseen circumstances, tomorrow night's public self-defence training is cancelled, to be rescheduled at a later date.

    If you've not heard by now, Diagon received a threat today. We are going on high alert for terrorist activity within the next 72 hours commencing today.

    While this mostly pertains to the Auror Office, but should something happen, we need to be at the ready to respond immediately. I cannot stress enough, keep your journals with you at all times and be prepared for an all wands situation if necessary either as back up or crowd control.

    For now our office is poised to dispatch on the same schedule and locations as their teams. If something happens I want whomever's on dispatched to where aurors need us. If something big happens, be ready to be called in.

    I hardly see how any side can claim the desire to save the Wizarding world when both vigilante groups in this war seek to undermine the very institutions on which our society rests its laurels.

    After all the trouble with the Wireless this past month, I don't see why we still have one. Does the public really need to know anything that much?

    I would say as a whole that this week's sensitivity training has been a general success or has certainly reached more individuals than talking about feelings or reading stories about teenagers. I will be honest when I say that I had lived my life never even considering Brazil might have its own recipes; though I think I can finish my days without revisiting it, but it has been enlightening to watch others' similar journeys of discovery.

    Is there anything so universal as food--so varied in origin yet ultimately serving the same purpose.

    I might wager, the quest for Justice.

    I have been made aware of some buzzing amongst my hitwizards regarding possible self-defense training classes for the public. While certainly they all could do to be reminded that in an emergency it is their duty as citizens to be disapparate or elsewise escape and notify the DMLE, not to fight, it may in our interest to use these classes as an intelligence gathering exercise.

    With diligent recordkeeping and vigilant training, it could be determined who is more advanced than their occupation might preclude and who is more interested in learning strictly offensive tactics. We may have a way of narrowing down would-be vigilantes.
